General Farm Worker

Position: General Farm Labourer (Seasonal - February - September)
Business Location: Castanho Orchards Inc., 3524 52nd Ave, Osoyoos, BC V0H 1V6
Work Location: Osoyoos, BC
Salary: $18.25 per hour (This position may also be subject to bonuses based on farm performance)
Hours of Work: 40 - 50 hours per week (additional hours may be required during peak harvesting season)
Schedule: Mondays through Saturdays

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• General farm duties include planting, irrigating, spraying, weeding, pruning, fruit thinning, and fertilizing in fruit tree orchards (peaches, nectarines, cherries, apricots, and apples)
• Harvesting and packing crops
• Maintain farm safety and food safety outlined in company program and expectations
• Miscellaneous repairs and maintenance to farm equipment, buildings, and properties.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Ability to complete physically demanding tasks
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and safety awareness.

Work Environment:
· This position involves outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
· Work includes weekends and extended hours during peak growing seasons.
