General Farm Worker

Position: General Farm Labourer (Seasonal - February - September)
Business Location: Lepp Farms Inc., 34042 Townshipline Road, Abbotsford, BC V3G 1R1
Work Location: Abbotsford, BC (primary location) & Osoyoos, BC
Salary: $18.25 per hour (Certain harvesting duties may be compensated on a piece-rate basis, allowing employees to increase their earnings based on the volume harvested. This position may also be subject to bonuses based on farm performance)
Hours of Work: 40 - 50 hours per week (additional hours may be required during peak harvesting season)
Schedule: Mondays through Saturdays

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• General farm duties include planting, harvesting, irrigating, spraying, weeding, pruning, and fertilizing in corn, beans, pickling cucumbers, pumpkins, strawberries, and hydroponic lettuce crops
• Assist in preparing and installation of strawberry production structures
• Washing and packing crops
• Maintain farm safety and food safety outlined in company program and expectations
• Perform miscellaneous repairs and maintenance on farm equipment, buildings, and properties
• During peak orchard production, harvesting and packing fruit may be required

Qualifications & Experience:
• Ability to complete physically demanding tasks
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and safety awareness.

Work Environment:
· This position involves both indoor and outdoor work, including greenhouse, field, and nursery settings in varying weather conditions.
· Work includes weekends and extended hours during peak growing seasons.
