Personal Care Aide - homecare

If you have a bright, sunny and gentle disposition, are mature with wisdom, have excellent communication skills, are compassionate, patient, kind, very tidy, like to get out and do things, we’d like to hear from you.

We are looking for a caregiver for a mobile senior; to provide companionship, motivation, support and any essential care and services that are required.

You must be fluent in reading and writing English although they do not have to be your primary language. Familiarity with Jewish customs is an asset. We are looking for candidates who have at least five years' experience caring for seniors although it could have been in any part of the world or in any type of facility or home.

Care Responsibilities and Duties:

·       Establish relationship with employer, honouring employer’s values and preferences while providing companionship and support.

·       Encourage employer to be active and mobile in and around the employer's home.

·       Follow specific instructions from family on daily responsibilities

·       Provide the employer with personal care and health support, as needed

·       Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe apartment

·       Accompany to meals, events and other activities while providing assistance and support

·       Monitor employer for changes and inform family

·       Change responsibilities based on employer need and caregiver strengths
