Job Overview

Ace City Inc. is seeking reliable and experienced Truck Drivers to join our team in Milton, ON. This position is responsible for driving straight or articulated trucks to safely transport goods and materials, primarily traveling domestic and international routes as needed. The role requires excellent vehicle maintenance awareness, compliance with transport regulations, and effective communication with dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive trucks as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Obtain special permits and documents required for transporting cargo internationally.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks safely to transport goods.
• Inspect vehicle condition including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs when necessary.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo details, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Driving experience of 7 months to less than 1 year preferred.
• Proficient in English.
• Ability to work full-time on-site with flexible shift schedules.

Working Conditions

• Must be physically present at the worksite in Milton, ON (no remote work).
• Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, overtime, and on-call duties.
• Physically demanding tasks such as vehicle inspections and emergency repairs.
