$25.72 per hour
Pay every 2 weeks
CPP, EI, and Income Tax deducted as required

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, caring, and responsible Home Child Care Provider to assist with daily care for 4 children (ages 0-5) in a private household. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment and support children’s daily routines and activities. Experience independently caring for a multi-age group of children (up to 4) simultaneously, including infants between 0-24 months, is required. Certification and/or relevant experience in Early Childhood Education in an asset.

Responsibilities

• Change diapers

• Bathe, dress and feed infants and children

• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents

• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home

• Organize, activities such as games and outings for children

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals

• Prepare infants and children for rest periods

• Supervise and care for children

• Tend to emotional well-being of children

Requirements

• At least 1 year of childcare experience

• Experience independently caring for a multi-age group of children (up to 4) simultaneously, including infants between 0-24 months

• Ability to work independently in a private household

• Good communication skills

• Basic meal preparation skills

• Reliability, patience, and good judgment

• Must provide a clear Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector)

• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Language: English

Assets (Not Required)

These are optional qualifications that will strengthen an application but are not mandatory:

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) certificate

• Experience supporting preschool learning or home-based educational activities

Work Conditions

• Work performed in employer’s private home

• Must be comfortable following established household routines

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

• No live-in requirement
