Tedco Electric is hiring a skilled Electromechanical Repair Technician for a permanent, full-time position based in Surrey BC.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair single-phase and three-phase electric motors and related electrical equipment.
Disassemble, inspect, repair and reassemble electric motors and associated components.
Rewind single-phase and three-phase electric motor coils as required.
Test repaired motors and electrical components to identify faults and verify proper operation.
Inspect, replace and install bearings, seals and other motor components as required.
Diagnose and repair pumps and associated electromechanical components.
Inspect and replace mechanical seals and other pump components as required.
Use hand tools, power tools and testing equipment to perform electrical motor and pump repairs.
Follow manufacturer specifications and established procedures when repairing and testing equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area and follow all applicable workplace health and safety procedures.
Operate or assist with the operation of overhead jib cranes and forklifts when required for moving equipment and materials.
Work cooperatively with other technicians and staff in a fast-paced repair and service environment.
Complete work accurately and efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
Completion of secondary school is required. A diploma, certificate, or other formal training in electric motor systems, electrical mechanics, electromechanical technology, or a related field is an asset.
2 years minimum experience in electric motor repair, motor rewinding, electrical equipment repair, or a related field.
Experience with electric motor rewinding is required.
Knowledge of pump mechanical seals and bearing applications is required.
Forklift certification an asset
Overhead jib crane operation and knowledge an asset
Salary: $45.00 hourly / 40 hours per week
